There's still time to register for Thursday's 2013 Employer Rate Meeting Webinar: Beyond Rates and Returns 

 

Did you miss the rate meetings throughout the state? It's not too late to register for the annual Rate Meeting webinar on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 2:00 pm. During this webinar, we will discuss:
  • Impact of IMRF's 2012 investment return on employers' funded status, reserves, and contribution rates
  • Potential impact of year-to-date 2013 and future year returns
  • Proposed pension-related legislation 
Please provide a copy of the invitation to your governing body members and to others at your employer you think may be interested in learning more about IMRF. If you aren't able to make the webinar time, a recorded presentation will also be available.

Reminder: Learn how to make your IMRF tasks easier -- attend employer training!

IMRF employer training workshops offer opportunities to learn more about IMRF procedures, changes to the Illinois Pension Code, and other topics that impact member benefits..

These streamlined one-day training sessions are designed for anyone who handles IMRF at your employer--not only Authorized Agents. Any staff members who assist you with day-to-day IMRF issues and processes are encouraged to attend.

If it's been a few years since you've attended a workshop, you might think about going to another. Employers who have administered IMRF for many years say that they walked out of our workshops with new information they could use immediately.

At an Employer Workshop, you will learn more about topics like enrollment and wage reporting issues -- including how to apply the hourly standard in varying circumstances like seasonal and part-time positions -- reporting cafeteria plan earnings, expense allowance and life insurance benefits, and retirees returning to work.
